Albeit I was a grade-school kid in the 1970's, I look back and love things about it. This is probably why I loved the brilliant (now cancelled) show Life on Mars. You know the story. Detective Sam Tyler was hit by a car in 2008, and woke up in 1973. He wasn't sure how he got there or why he was there--but he met Annie Norris, and he would have been a fool to break up with her (back in 1973, apparently 'breaking up' with someone was code for going to the year 2008). I also have affinity for this show, because it aired at the same time my son was born. Sam Tyler was nicknamed "2B" by his neighbor Windy, and Scotty was named "2B" by me (the post-it note bearing the apartment number is still on my son's door. :) )
The point of all this-- if you can manage to have a kid at the same time of the airing of a show regarding an era that you love, then you've got it made in the shade. It's science. Baby Steps....Daddy Steps.
